View PublicationThe concern was that political pressure during the time of the previous Government aimed at “fast-tracking” new forestry projects may have resulted in “short-cuts” being taken. The current Government was sufficiently concerned that it imposed a moratorium on the further issuance of new Timber Permits and Timber Authorities pending (amongst other things) the findings of this review.
