View PublicationThis project has planned for a sustainable annual cut, but is based on a TRP whose remaining term is insufficient for this purpose. For the planned project, the sustainable timber yield principle has been complied with. The planned potential annual sustainable cut is insufficient to support either a financially efficient logging operation or a conventional stand-alone log export project. In the absence of a Forest Management Agreement, there is no provision for 10% of the gross loggable area to be set aside for conservation purposes.
