Suellen Mangueira

Suellen is a Forestry Engineer trained at the Federal University of Rondônia. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in environmental sciences. With nine years of experience in the third sector, she has worked extensively in rural extension, promoting production diversification focused on food sovereignty, income generation, and the empowerment of women and youth. Her work includes implementing agroforestry systems, enriching legal reserves, and supporting forest restoration alongside family farming communities.
She specializes in social impact assessment and participatory methodologies, including rapid participatory diagnosis (DRP), PICLs, and value chain mapping, with experience in developing and implementing business plans. At Forest Trends, Suellen coordinates local activities of the Communities and Territorial Governance Initiative in the Brazilian Amazon, focusing on strengthening bioeconomy value chains, natural resource management, sustainable production systems, and territorial governance in Indigenous lands.
