Khin is a Policy Analyst with Forest Trends’ Forest Policy, Trade, and Finance Initiative, where she leads research and engagement on the political economy of natural resource conflict, strengthening governance practices, and developing policy pathways for alternative forest governance in Myanmar. Her work focuses on the intersection of governance, community rights, and environmental sustainability.
Before joining Forest Trends, Khin worked with the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) on reforms in the mining and oil & gas sectors and on strengthening the accountability of state-owned enterprises. She also served as a technical advisor and coordinator to the Myanmar Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative’s National Coordination Secretariat, supporting national transparency processes and multi-stakeholder engagement. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Yangon University of Economics and is completing a Master of Environmental Science at Chiang Mai University. Her work is guided by a commitment to transparent, equitable, and sustainable governance that protects local communities and promotes environmental stewardship.
