Sai Gon Giai Phong: Vietnamese businesses worried their exports labeled deforestation

On November 3, Vietnam’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Le Minh Hoan, chaired a conference on deploying the action plan to adapt to the European Union Regulation on Deforestation-free Products. According to FPTF Managing Director Phuc Xuan To, Vietnam will be in a disadvantageous position if the EU takes the product with the highest risk of deforestation as the basis for national risk labeling.
