A Guide to the Impacts of Mining on Communities in Liberia

This brief describes how communities in Liberia have been deprived of income, employment, and control over their resources due to mining. As a part of our work for A Rapid Assessment of Liberia’s Mining Sector, we identified five ways in which financial promises to communities are broken, as well how their rights to own and control their lands are ignored.
