Webinar: Water Footprinting

Water Footprinting and the Water Footprint Assessment are increasingly used by businesses and governments to assess their water risks, dependencies, and impacts. Now, some of its most advanced users are taking the next step and considering strategies and actions for reducing their water footprint and making it more sustainable. These water users, including companies like Nestlé and Duke Energy, as well as national governments like Switzerland and city governments like Quito, have the potential to contribute significantly to performance-based watershed investments, guided by these assessments.

This webinar will consult leading pioneers and experts in Water Footprinting, Water Footprint Assessment, and watershed investments to describe the opportunities for strategically linking these approaches, what enabling conditions are needed and what challenges remain in implementing footprinting assessments within the context of watershed investments, and the potential limitations or risks under such an approach.
